Community Education & Group Support

As part of our Parenting Supports, Bagenalstown FRC is pleased to offer a variety of Parent Support & Education programmes and workshops throughout the year. Our staff are trained in:

Children’s Program: This programme is practical, solution-focused and draws on parents’ strengths. It is suitable for parents of children aged 6-11 years.

Special Needs Program: designed to support parents of children and young adults who have additional support needs.

Healthy Family’s Program: Children are experiencing increased rates of health problems, such as obesity and higher levels of anxiety. With our Healthy Families Programme you can empower parents to create healthy and connected families and improve well-being for everyone.

Senior Alert Scheme

The Senior Alert Scheme provides a free personal alarm that enables older people of limited means to continue to live securely and independently in their homes. These alarms connect to a national helpline if activated and will put you through to a helpline operator who will phone emergency services if necessary.

The alarm and installation of it are free under the scheme. After the first year, you will be asked to pay the annual monitoring fee. The service provider will advise you of the monitoring fee cost prior to installation.

The older person must be 65 years old or older and living alone or with another eligible person. If you know of someone who may be interested in this scheme, please contact our reception team on 0599722028.
