An unresolved issue will be like a cancer with the potential to spread into other areas of your relationship, eroding the joy, lightness, love and beauty.”

General counselling for adolescents and adults

Counselling at its core, is a searching human relationship where client and counsellor are committed to explore different ways to the client’s adversities. This is facilitated by our therapists working to the highest professional standards in a safe, non-judgemental space. A wide variety of emotional, psychological and relationship difficulties can be helped by counselling. This is done on a regular one-to-one basis. We work around our clients to facilitate appointments.

Our counselling service is offered for anyone aged 13yrs-18yrs (adolescent counselling) and 18yrs up. Our counsellors are affiliated with the relevant professional bodies. Counselling can help with a variety of issues, here are some of the frequent ones clients bring to counselling: Abuse, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Couples Counselling, Depression, Work-Life Balance, Self esteem. Sexual issues and Stress

Play Therapy for children

We also provide Play therapy for children aged 6yrs-12yrs.  Play Therapy is a mode of therapy that helps children understand painful experiences and upsetting feelings. As play is a child’s natural form of expression, it can allow them to communicate at their own level without having to put it into words.

Play allows the child to release needs, fears and wishes. It also helps them to address emotional and behavioural difficulties. Play Therapy Is Helpful For the following issues/situations:

  • Parental conflict, separation or divorce
  • Self esteem issues
  • Traumatised ( sexual, physical or emotional abuse)
  • Adopted or are in foster care
  • Children who have witnessed domestic violence

Play therapy  provides the child with emotional support. It can help them make sense of life experiences by playing them out at their own pace. By allowing your child to make sense and understand their feelings it will in turn help them cope with the future. It can help your child to deal with conflict/angry feelings in more appropriate ways. Play therapy can help you the carer to understand your child’s world.

Feel the feeling but don’t become the emotion. Witness it. Allow it. Release it”
